Corporate governance has come to encapsulate the blend of law, regulation and private-sector practice that enables companies to attract financial and human capital, to perform efficiently, and generate long-term economic value for their shareholders, whilst respecting the interests of stakeholders and society as a whole.

Module objectives
To promote discussion and understanding of corporate governance principles and practices and whether special governance arrangements ought to apply to financial sector institutions public and private sectors.
To consider the roles of industry associations, institutes of directors and the professions in promoting and disseminating good corporate governance principles and practices in public and private agencies.
Discuss the women participation and role in developing, promoting and implementing corporate governance worldwide.
